Facial Treatment

A Photofacial, also known as a photorejuvenation treatment, uses Intense Pulse Light therapy (IPL) to reverse signs of sun damage and hyperpigmentation, and to improve overall skin tone and clarity - providing a brighter, more youthful appearance with minimal down time. It can also be used to effectively treat acne.

How does IPL rejuvenate your skin?

IPL promotes skin regeneration by treating the deeper layers of the skin, called the dermis, while sparing the outer layers, called the epidermis. This process increases collagen and elastin production and repairs these age-related changes in a natural way, making your skin look younger, tighter and more radiant.

What recovery time can I expect after my treatment?

There is minimal down time after a treatment because the outer layer of skin is spared. In most cases it may feel like a mild sunburn.

Before your first treatment you will have a complimentary medical evaluation by one of our expert technicians. If required, one of our doctors will do an assessment to ensure that your treatment plan is optimal for your skin type. Your technician will also discuss precare with you.

  • No sun tanning or extensive sun exposure 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after your treatment. We suggest that you use one of our medical grade sunscreens to protect your skin during this time and to ensure longer lasting radiant skin.

  • No Accutane in the past 3 months, no topical Retinoids for 3 days.

  • For enhanced results we suggest a vitamin A facial before your laser treatment – please ask your esthetician for more information.
